Short version: we can't see your data.
Last updated: August 2026
What the extension does
The CourseFound Chrome extension analyzes the web page currently open in your browser tab and produces an SEO and AI-search report. All analysis happens locally, on your device, in your browser.
What we collect
Nothing. Specifically, the extension does not:
- Transmit the content of pages you scan to us or to any third party
- Collect your browsing history, keywords, or scan results
- Use analytics, tracking pixels, or advertising identifiers
- Require or create any account
What is stored on your device
The extension saves your scan history (page URL, score, and date) and your chosen target keywords using Chrome's local extension storage, so you can see your progress over time. This data stays on your device. Uninstalling the extension deletes it.
Network requests the extension makes
To run its AI Search checks, the extension requests a small number of
standard public files from the website being scanned itself — such as
robots.txt, llms.txt, and
sitemap.xml. These requests go directly from your browser
to the site you are scanning, exactly as if you had typed those
addresses yourself. No request is ever sent to CourseFound servers.
