State of Kajabi SEO 2026

The first large-scale audit of how Kajabi sites actually perform in search — and whether the AI assistants your students now use can see them at all. We ran our full 26-check engine against 102 verified live Kajabi sites. This is what we found.

75/100

The average Kajabi site scores a C. Not broken — but leaving rankings, clicks, and AI citations on the table on every single page.

The five findings that matter

100/102

Sites with no llms.txt

llms.txt is the emerging standard that tells AI assistants who you are, who you help, and which pages matter. Its absence is near-universal in the Kajabi ecosystem — which means the first creators to adopt it get an uncontested AI-visibility edge.

91%

Sites without structured data

No JSON-LD means no eligibility for rich results in Google, and a harder job for every AI model trying to understand what a business sells. Nine in ten Kajabi sites ship without it.

67%

Sites with images missing alt text

Two thirds of sites have images with no alt text — in some cases nearly every image on the page. That's lost image-search traffic, lost keyword relevance, and an accessibility failure, all at once.

37%

Sites with no H1 heading

The H1 is the single clearest on-page statement of what a page is about. More than a third of Kajabi sites don't have one — usually because the visually "big" headline in the editor was never set to Heading 1.

C

The median experience: solid platform, unfinished SEO

Kajabi handles HTTPS, mobile rendering, and sitemaps well — platform-level checks passed almost everywhere. The failures cluster in exactly the places the page editor leaves optional: alt text, heading levels, meta descriptions, structured data, and anything to do with AI crawlers.

Why this is systemic, not incompetence

The striking thing about the data isn't that sites score poorly — it's that they fail in the same way. A site with real audience and traffic can ship 17 of 19 images without alt text and no meta description at all, not because the creator doesn't care, but because Kajabi's editor makes those fields easy to skip and never warns you.

WordPress creators have had Yoast and RankMath nagging them about exactly these issues for over a decade. Kajabi creators have had nothing. The result is an entire ecosystem with the same holes — which also means the fixes are unusually predictable, and the creators who make them first stand out unusually fast.

The AI-search findings sharpen this further. Search is splitting in two: classic Google results, and answers assembled by ChatGPT, Claude, and Perplexity. Ranking in the second kind requires that AI crawlers can read your site and understand your business. With llms.txt absent from 100 of 102 sites and structured data absent from 91%, the Kajabi ecosystem is close to invisible in AI search today.

Methodology

We verified 102 live, publicly accessible Kajabi websites — a mix of Kajabi subdomains and custom domains — and audited each with the same 26-check engine that powers the CourseFound Chrome extension, executed in headless Chromium against the fully rendered page. Checks span five groups: Critical, Keyword, Content, AI Search, and Technical & Social. Each site received a 0–100 score and an A–F grade. Scans were performed in 2026; sites are not named individually.
